Yann Black has his own style and is so in demand, that he is booked by appointment only and at times, is able to choose the subject matter. Some of his clients leave the design completely up to his discretion. His work is primarily done in black in with no shading or soft tones. His style is abstract with a childish quality, simplistic, and some may even say it resembles a child scrawl or doodling.
He insists that his approach to the art is not careless and is not for everyone. Personally, I don’t get it and find it unattractive but different strokes for different folks as the old saying goes.
