Traveling Tattoo Artist

I found this artist interesting on many levels.  Her talent speaks for itself.  Her colors are bright and some of her body art resembles an oil painting.  Like the color was brushed on rather than jabbed in with the needle. Claire Reid only began her apprenticeship in 2005 and moved to the states to work in an Arizona shop in 2006.  She’s totally devoted to her craft and is immersed in her art. She has a great philosophy and belief that she follows.  Claire is an existentialist who believes “the individual is solely responsible for giving his or her own life meaning”.

She grew up in England, but now lives like a gypsy.  Always traveling. Her website encourages shop owners to contact her and invite her to work a while.  How many trades can allow someone so much freedom?  She says her travels and observation of different cultures helps her with her craft.  In her travels to visit other artists that have helped her to grow as an artist. She seems like someone who knows what’s important and is living her life just as she wishes.
