It is amazing the ways in which people are using tattoos in other ways besides just decorative reasons. Besides that cool idea of a tattoo for runners that is used to time themselves – that was pretty futuristic in my mind – there is now a semi-permanent tattoo that may assist diabetics. Instead of having to prick tender finger tips to test their glucose levels, an infrared light is used to detect glowing nanoparticles injected under the skin. Considering the success and relief this will bring to the large number of diabetics, the team that developed this technology are now exploring it’s use for other chemicals in our bodies. The process used to inject these nanoparticles does not allow the ability to allow an artful touch to this medical breakthrough but I doubt that will be the case for long. That sounds awesome! I never really thought that there would be a use to tattoos like that, apart from their obvious artistic and symbolic uses. Nice article.
You raised a good point. In America a lot of people here are so clueless about potential umbrella danger to others. When I dont have an umbrella with me and walking hear someone who does, Id expect him to mind my safety and if he doesnt, Ill raise my hand in front of my face and if I hit his umbrella, thats his problem. Thats my defensive move.
