I was introduced to this movement a couple of years ago. The movement among promotes a path that abstains from alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes and casual sex. Very admirable and not an easy choice for teenagers and young adults considering peer pressure. It is a product of the punk culture. The X symbol is the most popular image of the followers. Since this movement is popular with a generation that is into tattoos, you will often see followers displaying their believe via tattoo symbols like this.
