Mermaids – another mythical creature that is a perfect choice for body art. They are like the fairies of the sea. Although these mythical creatures are beautiful and serene looking, the legends and stories surrounding mermaids were not always pleasant. Folklore also depicts them as creatures of the deep that would lure sailors to their death with their siren song. Squeezing the life out of drowning sailors they were supposed to be rescuing. This is a beautiful composition combining the two mermaids in a circle – almost a ying-yang effect especially with the color and black and white combination.

I have always love the mermaid theme for tattoos. This is a really cool tattoo because it uses mermaid imagery and yin & yang idea. The color looks great too.
Tattoos talk a language of your heart. They bring out your emotions and way of life. You may use your tattoo designs as a method of expression. Many people use tattoos to speak various things, necessarily their personality. Some also use them to express love and emotions.
I keep coming across this tattoo on the web, but not necessarily the artist or owner. Does anyone know if this is an original piece designed for the tattoo, or was it inspired by a painting or drawing? I’m curious as the imagery is haunting. Thanks!
Judy Parker created a freehand mermaid tatoo for me in 2001 at Sturgis. To this day I love my mermaid. I am a professional woman and when ever anyone sees my mermaid (it is ‘hidden’) they are always in awe and surprised. Thank YOU Judy!

Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
I wished I had known this two weeks ago when I had this problem. Do you think it’s too late now?
