Learned a little bit of tattoo trivia I’m going to share – maybe only the boomers would give a shit but here you go -back when Philip Morris wanted to start focusing on it’s male smokers for increasing Marlboro sales, they wanted to depict a very manly man. They had the tough cowboy image – along with tattoos. Even so far as this guy had hand tats. They developed additional tattooed depictions with rugged occupations – The Tattooed Man commercials from 1955 are now part of a Smithsonian collection.
