This weekend one of the biggest upsets in the history of the Kentucky Derby occurred. A longshot of 50-1 came in and out raced the favorites, I gotta mention it as the guy came from my state – New Mexico. The background is as interesting and exciting with the original owner selling the horse for only $9500 and getting him “fixed”. The race itself was made exciting not only by the surprising first place winner but also by the fact that he shot to the lead from last place at the last minute. A real feel good story.
