Unfortunately, not many people have common sense when it comes to caring for animals. Animals are mistreated, abused, neglected, and kicked to the curb when their human decides they can’t deal with them.
Earlier this week, an owner of over 50 exotic animals let them all loose to fend for themselves and terrorize the local town of Zanesville, Ohio, located fifty miles east of Columbus.
Terry Thompson was the name of the man who owned all of these exotic animals and kept them on his 73 acre farm.
The local authorities were in a panic to protect the residents and shot and killed the majority of the animals. The dead included 18 rare Bengal tigers, six black bears, a baboon, a wolf, 3 mountain lions, 17 lions, and two grizzly bears. Six of the exotic pets were captured and have been taken to the Columbus Zoo.

Capturing a person’s likeness so that their face is easy to recognize is difficult whether the medium is paper and pencil or skin and tattoo ink. I think baby pictures can be even more difficult since a baby’s face doesn’t have much definition. So, although it’s true the baby portraits are a challenge, if you aren’t up to it just admit it. Some tattoo artists are talented enough to pull of portrait tattooing but
it’s not usually a skill that all artists have. Artists usually know their strengths and they should also know their limitations. If you can’t carry it off – just don’t do it.
I found a blog that had a handy post that gathered 25 of these poorly done baby tattoos. You just gotta wonder what the recipient was thinking at the time.

It seems like professional sports has really embraced tattoo work. You can’t watch any type of professional game being played without seeing some ink on at least one player. I would say professional athletes are one of the reasons people have learned to accept tattoos as a valid art form.
Now we have an athlete helping to show what NOT to do when getting a tattoo which I think may keep some people from
making a similar mistake. One can hope.
Boston Bruin player, Brad Marchand, may have been thrilled to be on the winning team of the Stanley Cup, but he’ll probably be best remembered for the tattoo he got following the game. The story goes that after being high on their win, many of the players went on to celebrate and party, including 23-year-old Marchand. After the team’s win, a bunch of the players got tattoos right in the dressing room at the Garden.
Mistake one – don’t get a tattoo under “party” conditions. Tattoo parties are not a good idea. Not getting a tattoo in a professional shop setting – also not a great idea.
Mistake two – the artist didn’t use spell check or any type of verification. The tattoo was misspelled.
Mistake three – don’t get tattooed when you’re under the influence.
Mistake four – plan out your tattoo. It’s not something that you want to decide on impulsively. Sometimes it works out but in most cases, people have regrets later on.
Do you see the problem? – If you look closely, it almost looks like there’s two misspelled words, but Marchand says that is an “n” in Stanley and the artist was able to fix the “ians” in Champians to the correct spelling of “ions”. Marchand says he doesn’t even know how it happened. Easy to believe since their celebration range up a bar tab of $156,000.

This woman has brought social media to an unusual medium. A woman living in the Netherlands recently finished up a tattoo of all of her Facebook friends. The profile images of her 152 FB friends covers her right arm in tiny detail. The tattoos took months to complete. She’s thrilled and posted a video about it. I just with the video showed better close–ups – I’ve love to see the minute detail the artist put into those small portraits.

In a little twist on the charity angle, a brave man by the name of Brian Adams got an image of a pink My Little Pony tattooed on his ass.
Tattoo parlors around the country participate in various fundraisers. Sometimes by doing an disease awareness tattoo on a large number of people in one day and donating the money to the cause. This is one man’s quest of raising funds for the special care baby unit at his local hospital.
He began the project by having friends vote for the cartoon character they most wanted to see planted on his rear. If you donated to the cause, you got a vote. Other close runner ups included Winnie the Pooh and Pepe Le Pew.
After Adams, who is a father to two small children, visited the special care baby unit he felt moved and felt compelled to do something for these sick infants.
The work was done at Evolution Tattoos in Kidlington and was observed by some of Adam’s closest friends.
Adams says “At the end of the day it’s just a bit of skin and I’m glad I could help.”
