This is a new one for the books. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any story even remotely related to this drama.
There was this couple from Ohio. Rossie Brovent and Ryan Fitzjerald. They break up. Ryan is a tattoo artist.
Rossie asks the ex to tattoo a scene from the Narnia movie on her back. But he has something else in mind. Instead, Ryan tattooed an ugly, steaming pile of crap, complete with circling, buzzing flies, after he discovered she had been cheating on him.
Rossie was pissed off to say the least and is now suing Fitzjerald. Technically and legally, she may not have a good case. She had signed a consent form stating that the artwork was “at the artist’s discretion”. Her argument to that is that he plied her with cheap wine and tequila before she signed the contract.
Sounds like a case for Judge Judy.

Unfortunately, not many people have common sense when it comes to caring for animals. Animals are mistreated, abused, neglected, and kicked to the curb when their human decides they can’t deal with them.
Earlier this week, an owner of over 50 exotic animals let them all loose to fend for themselves and terrorize the local town of Zanesville, Ohio, located fifty miles east of Columbus. 
Terry Thompson was the name of the man who owned all of these exotic animals and kept them on his 73 acre farm.
The local authorities were in a panic to protect the residents and shot and killed the majority of the animals. The dead included 18 rare Bengal tigers, six black bears, a baboon, a wolf, 3 mountain lions, 17 lions, and two grizzly bears. Six of the exotic pets were captured and have been taken to the Columbus Zoo.

At least I’ll make that statement about myself. I try to be open minded but there are certain lifestyles that we tend to associate with certain social groups. Well – this story shows you can’t always judge a book by its cover. You have to look deeper. It also shows how tattoos are now popular with people from just about all walks of life.
Mitzi Britt is a tattoo artist and a Christian who wanted to help get rid of stereotyping when it came to her faith. She wants to show that even Christians can love motorcycles and tattoos. She’s spreading the word with her own clothing line called Soul Candy Brand. The images are favorite tattoo images like skulls with religious images incorporated in as well. She wants to show people that the life of a Christian isn’t dull and boring.
I think this works to prove a point in 2 ways. You shouldn’t stereotype people because of their faith and you shouldn’t stereotype people that have tattoos.

Anyone that is involved with the tattoo world knows the number one faux paux is to get your lover’s name inked on you. Besides the statistics proving that a large percentage of relationships eventually bite the dust, there is the belief that just getting their name inked puts a jinx on the relationship. At that point there’s no doubt it will end sometime soon. Just don’t do it.
You’d think a seasoned tattoo artist like Kat Von D would know better. Even though she’s been through countless, 
public relationships and has already lived through one failed marriage, she still went ahead and got Jesse James’s portrait inked on her side.
Jesse showed his true self as a dishonest cheater in multiple relationships, Kat decided she was going to befriend him. Then, before you know it, they’re engaged. It all happened real quickly. (Did anyone really think it was going to work out?)
The couple have now split up and she’s got, not just a name to get rid of, but a good size portrait to constantly remind her of him. I’m going to guess that laser treatment may be in her very near future.
The only names or faces you should ever get tattooed are your kids or other blood relatives. And there’s no guarantee there will come a day when you have regrets about them either. Just say no.

I wanted to draw attention to this artist first – because everyone should know about his talent –I’d like to spread the word in case you never hear of him. Nigel Kurt is a truly outstanding talent with a tattoo machine. His portrait work is some of the best you’ll find. And there are many who think so because he was just voted best UK male tattoo artist.
Kurt owns and operates his own tattoo shop, Fun House Tattoos. His one and only partner in the shop is also hugely talented. You should visit his site and you’ll be able to see a large amount of his work which is filled with portraits. He is flawless when he puts needle to skin. Hopefully he’ll be doing some traveling to the states.

I haven’t done a post about a specific artist in awhile. I’ve been concentrating that type of research for other projects – but in case you haven’t heard of this guy – I’d like to draw your attention – because the guy will knock your socks off. He is so exceptional; I want to share this with anyone that wasn’t aware of his art work. Roman Abrego is one of those artists that was born to tattoo. It would have been a sin if this man had never been drawn to tattooing.
Although his career started out rocky – as in spending time in jail – this opportunity gave Roman an opportunity to shift his focus on his art. He worked construction for a bit but eventually tried his hand at tattooing. He now owns his own tattoo shop – Artistic Element in Yucaipa, California.
