Gang Tattoos and Meaning

In doing research for my Tattoo Information Site – on Gang Related Tattoos - I found a site that has a database of over 700 Chicago tattoo pictures with current plans to expand to gangs all over the country. For some reason, when our world is completely remote from the world of bikers, gangs and prisons, we still have a fascination and curiosity regarding the topic. Prison Tattoos I was flipping through my old magazines and read an interesting article about a program in Canada where the plan was to add tattoo parlors in 6 big prisons – The pilot program was designed to curb the rapid spread of HIV and hepatitis C among Canadian inmates. Tattoo parlors with sterile needles were set up at six prisons for a one-year trial period that ended Sept. 30. continue reading
