Capturing a person’s likeness so that their face is easy to recognize is difficult whether the medium is paper and pencil or skin and tattoo ink. I think baby pictures can be even more difficult since a baby’s face doesn’t have much definition. So, although it’s true the baby portraits are a challenge, if you aren’t up to it just admit it. Some tattoo artists are talented enough to pull of portrait tattooing but
it’s not usually a skill that all artists have. Artists usually know their strengths and they should also know their limitations. If you can’t carry it off – just don’t do it.
