Kat Von D’s portrait work is exceptional and TLC has been nice enough to put some of her best pieces in an easy to browse part of their site. If you want to enjoy her artwork visit the page. You can read about her also, but I enjoyed just being able to get a good look at her work. There were times when she would do a beautiful piece on the show but the camera really didn’t get a good close up so you could see detail.I confess – I watched her show when it was first on but quickly got tired of the fluff and the ego. Still respect her and her work. Give her credit for her business sense and her marketing strategy. Can’t blame her for promoting products she takes part with or products she endorses, like her makeup line. tattoo removal products and recent skateboard project with Bam.

The stunning, sexy Kat Von D is expanding into an acting gig playing the perfect compliment to her dark beauty and tough persona – a vampire. The horror film has just finished filming so will probably be in theatres later this year. On the whole, there has not been alot of talk about the film. Per Kat, her reasons is the fear of “sucking” at acting – yuck yuck. She said she had fun shooting the film but the violence in the movie is the opposite of her natural nature. She claims she is a very non-violent person and even though it was acting, she felt the urge to apologize after she killed someone in a scene. You have to wonder when the woman sleeps – she’s got her reality show, her makeup line including tattoo concealer, a clothing line, her book, and custom skateboard designs just to name a few of her projects.

Kat Von D and Bam – Skateboards

Kat Von D – famous female tattoo artist in case you’ve been living under a rock – - and Bam Margera – professional skateboarder – These two popular celebrities recently got together to do a trio of limited edition designed skateboards. Part of the promotion of this new line was a national contest where the winner was flown to Los Angeles for a party and a free Tat from Kat. The tattoo was based on a design on one of the skateboard designs. Kat is a busy woman to say the least. Besides being known for excellent artwork and tattoo skills, she also endorses a makeup line with Sephora which includes a tattoo concealing cream for when it’s necessary to cover up your body art, a tattoo book, posters, vampire movie, and her own reality show.

I’m not a big fan – it seems like people love her or can’t stand her. I gave the show a shot but the drama interferes with the tattooing as far as I’m concerned. But I’m not a reality fan either But the girl is a great artist and a beauty especially since she got her body in shape. AllPosters sells a slew of her posters – proving once again that sex sells!
