Building sandcastles has come a long way and competitions are held all over the world with professinal companies participating. Friends of mine visit an annual competition in Maine every year and rave about the beautiful and creative sculptures built on the beach. But there are events held all over, some a better caliber than others. continue reading

Beginning in 1975 and for the following 20 years, Tom Breitenbach spent four months out of each year building his castle home & artist studio. The stone was quarried on the property. Oak trees were cut from the woods for cabinetry and moldings.
