Andy Tran is unlike most artists in that he tackled 2 apprenticeships by choice. One in the Bay area, and then again with Jess Yen at his current shop – My Tattoo in Alhambra CA. The apprenticeship and teachings included a very spiritual and family oriented importance. Part of the teachings and philosophy include remaining humble and do not entertain thoughts of jealous and envy (aren’t they also part of the 7 deadly sins?). continue reading

Big Tattoo Convention coming up in June in Long Beach California. It has one of the most professional advertisement campaigns I’ve ever seen for a tattoo show. They are combining a Kustom Hot Rod and Bike show along with it.
