When I was a kid I was infatuated with this high quality artistic comic about a female vampire heroine. I would spend my free time drawing this character as I was enticed by the art as much as the stories and the vampire herself. It premiered in 1969 and one of the first artists for Vampirella was Frank Frazetta. The topic was ahead of it’s time considering the current huge popularity of vampire related movies and TV shows – including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, and others.
