Friends of mine in the northeast just got back from their annual trek to New Hampshire for a sandcastle competition weekend. They turned me on to this art form just a couple of years ago and I hope I’m able to attend one of these functions myself. The competition is fierce and the talent abounds! – I also found this site called Sandsational Sand sculpting where you can find award winning pictures that will impress you. They are a professional sandcastle company – who would have thought something like that existed – that travels and displays beautiful and very detailed pieces of work.
