It should be enough that this talented group of artists at Czech Marionettes Workshop produces these beautiful works of art, but they also offer a customized puppet to resemble the person of your choice. A gift for someone you know personally or a celebrity you may admire – they have a great example of an Obama look alike. The way they capture the resemblance on some is impressive. Personally, I like these more traditional puppets that have the older look. This example here is a librarian with a body filled with books.
The prices on the puppets vary from around $50.00 to almost $1000.00. They don’t seem to be overpriced at all. I was hoping to get more information about the process that is involved in creating a marionette of this quality but the site is not very informative. I wonder if this may be a language issue. Maybe someday they will expand their site.
