Hand Built Castle – Artist Extraordinaire

by on Sep.29, 2008, under Art, Fashion

Fantasy ArtistBeginning in 1975 and for the following 20 years, Tom Breitenbach spent four months out of each year building his castle home & artist studio. The stone was quarried on the property. Oak trees were cut from the woods for cabinetry and moldings. Collapsing barns were used for their hand-hewn beams and planking. The artist made stained-glass windows, wrought iron hardware, custom floor tiles, furnishings, and more. His artwork is amazing and I the castle he built is beautiful and built with love. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this artist’s home and the pictures do not do it justice. Visit  Tom’s site and take a tour of the Castle. He has documented detail of the work involved .
